beauty and the gemstone
OH &#@!

I was asked if I wanted to be a part of a creative (or styled) shoot by my dear friend Kristina, from Buds and Blooms Floral Shoppe. Boss babes helping fellow boss babes, how could I say no?! She already had our friend, Jessica booked to be the photographer so we were destined to capture some beautiful shots from the beginning.

Creative shoots can take a lot of time brainstorming, planning, coordinating and executing. Some people may ask if its worth it. Heck yes! It's so much fun - especially once you get the first one out of the way. It's one of the best ways to do something out side of the box to inspire creativity to the world.

The whole process started out rather small and because I get overly excited about new projects, I volunteered to be the muse (I got to wear my wedding dress again, how could I say no?!) and to make the cake. At first I thought, what did I get myself into? I had originally planned on this cake for the shoot to be 3 tiers but after finishing the first two, it had to have weighed about 15 pounds. My own wedding cake didn't arrive on time so I didn't know how heavy cakes are! I've seen so many wedding photos of the brides holding their cakes.. how do they make it look so effortless or maybe I did something wrong? I'll bet on the latter half of that statement.
